Stork's Nest

programsThe San Benito County Public Health Perinatal Services Program, Healthy Mothers, Healthy Babies Coalition and the March of Dimes would like to introduce you to The Stork's Nest. The Stork's Nest is an incentive program for high-risk and low-income families to promote healthy behaviors during the prenatal period that lasts a lifetime.

The Stork's Nest will award Gymboree baby clothes, other clothing and equipment to families that participate in the following:

  • Early and continuous prenatal care (Entry into care in the first 3 months)
  • Breastfeeding (the longer the better)
  • Take Folic Acide/Vitamins
  • Stop Smoking
  • Stop using alcohol & drugs and attend counseling
  • Parenting classes
  • School attendance
  • Physical activities and play
  • Family Planning
  • Dental care
  • Car seat fittings
  • Well Child Care
  • Immunizations
  • and more.....

Families can register for Stork's Nest with the Perinatal Services Coordinator at
(831) 637-5367.

Mothers must be pregnant or have a child 12 months old or younger.

Families will receive vouchers from providers and agencies for engaging in the many healthy behaviors.

Vouchers are exchanged for clothing, books, toys and equipment on Stork's Nest Shopping Days.

Vouchers are available for distribution to the providers and agencies who participate in Stork's Nest.
